About Me

Welcome to my page! My name is Angelica and I currently reside in Northern Virginia. I hold a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Masters in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University (with a focus on Family & Marriage). Most importantly, I am a Christian; I grew up in a Christian home, although, I spent my early twenties wandering away from God; but that is an entirely different story for which you will have to check out my testimony page for more details.I married a wonderful man of God, in May 2016, and gave birth to my first baby girl in July 2017, my second in September 2019, and, most recently, a son in June 2021. I also have four younger sisters, three nephews, and four nieces. Because my father served in the military for 30 years, I’ve done a fair bit of traveling from North Carolina, to Georgia, California, Japan, and finally moved here, to Virginia, in 2009.Some of my favorite things to do include learning, reading, writing, photography, and singing; and I especially love to share the things I learn. That’s actually where this blog fits in. Usually, something I come across while reading, studying, listening to the radio or television, going to church, or even checking Facebook or Twitter, may catch my attention and be an incentive for me to write. Just be aware that sometimes my posts may seem a little random, but it’s because my mind tends to wander…lol. After we brought home our first baby in July 2017, I was able to make the transition to stay-at-home-mom. My passion for God, and a heart for the broken and lost, in conjunction with my talents/gifts for music, writing, and teaching have provided me with opportunities to serve in young adults, children, and worship ministries in my local church and I look forward to seeing what God has planned in the future.

I’m Angelica!

Welcome to the Brokenredeemed Blog, so named, because I once was broken, but through Christ I’ve been redeemed! This page has come through a number of changes over the last few years, but here I hope you’ll find inspiration, wisdom, and discipleship so we can continue running the good race. Here, I invite you to join me on a journey of greater intimacy with the Father and deeper knowledge and understanding of the Word. Together we’ll learn how to apply the Word to our every day lives, no matter our age and stage.
